The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and the Regenstrief Institute are searching for a tenure track faculty to lead the development of a new program in Computational Imaging and Informatics within the Indiana Institute for Biomedical Imaging Sciences. The scope of this program includes quantitative image analysis, multi-modal image co-registration, machine learning for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy guidance, and exploration of disease markers across scales ranging from gene to human molecular and functional imaging. It is anticipated that specific areas of focus will align with major research priorities of the Indiana University School of Medicine and the clinical priorities of Indiana University Health. Strong collaboration opportunities include Regenstrief Institute, IU Simon Cancer Center, the Indiana Alzheimer Disease Center, and the Indiana University School of Medicine Precision Health Initiative. The successful candidate will have a PhD or MD/PhD in a related field and will be an individual who can contribute to the tripartite mission of the department (research, education, service) with effort allocation commensurate with department and Institutional needs, as well as the candidate’s background. It is expected that the successful candidate will work with faculty throughout the department, the IU School of Medicine, and the Regenstrief Institute to facilitate the development of large, multidisciplinary research programs.
