Faculty/Postdoc Position In Medical Imaging

We are hiring entry-level faculty and/or postdoc (the rank will be depending on qualification and experience) in medical imaging and AI research, at University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). The positions are available immediately.

We are looking for highly self-motived applicants with excellent research background and scholarly track-records. The position will focus on developing quantitative imaging analysis and machine/deep learning methods and apply them to large-scale clinical studies. Ideal candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) degree, a strong first-degree in computer science, information science, electronic engineering, bioengineering, or closely related subjects. Skills and experience on image processing, machine/deep learning, and computer vision are preferable. Strong programming experience in Matlab, Python, and deep learning platforms is required. Additional knowledge or experience in biostatistics is a plus. Applicants should have excellent ability working independently and collaboratively; and demonstrated skills on oral and written communication in English are vital. Student/trainee advising/mentoring experience is preferred for faculty applicants.

Our group, Intelligent Computing for Clinical Imaging (ICCI) lab, is composed of members with diverse backgrounds (computer science, bioengineering, radiology, pathology, oncology, surgeon, biology, and biostatistics) working in multi-modality medical imaging analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and clinical/translational applications, currently having 16 trainee members and > 15 physician collaborators. UPMC is the leading integrated health care delivery system and recognized a Top-Ten institution in the America’s Best Hospitals Honor Roll. The Pitt Radiology Department is one of the nation’s largest and most productive radiology departments with nationally recognized clinical programs in breast cancer. Pittsburgh has been named many times the “most livable city” by The Economist and Forbes.
