The appointment will be on UCL Grade . The salary range will be (Grade 7) £35,965 per annum - £43,470 per annum (Grade 8) £44,674 per annum- £52,701 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

WEISS invites applications from research scientists and engineers with a strong background in machine learning and software engineering to work on a new platform for the development of a software suite with custom-tested hardware for developing and deploying modern machine learning algorithms in intervention and surgery.

This post is funded for 1 year in the first instance.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic candidates with excellent technical skills and track record to join an internationally leading research group. We require outstanding research engineers with in-depth technical skills in programming, deep learning, imaging, and real-time sensors for surgery.

You will need to work closely with colleagues from within our lab as well as associated with collaborators, such as so excellent teamwork and communication skills will be required.

To be appointed at Grade 8, substantial experience in translational research in applied AI to surgery or other interventional procedures is essential. The candidate will also be assessed with the desirable experience and skills.
