Description:
The Auditory Biophysics Laboratory at Western University in London, Canada invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar. We are seeking a motivated individual with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or Medical Biophysics with significant experience in machine/deep learning and digital image processing/analysis, specifically in the design of algorithms for image segmentation. Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python; expertise with imaging analysis software such as ITK, VTK and 3D Slicer; and experience with deep learning toolkits such as Keras and Tensorflow are required. The incumbent would be involved in a number of projects including segmentation of temporal bone anatomy from computed tomography images for hearing implant placement and development of algorithms for automated diagnosis of hearing loss. The project is being undertaken in collaboration with industrial partners and with surgical and clinical staff. The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable based on performance. A competitive salary will be paid commensurate with experience.
