Two Posts as Research Assistant (1 PostDoc and 1 PhD) Medical Deep Learning at Luebeck (three-years, fully-funded)

The posts that are within the research group of Prof. Mattias Heinrich, which has often pioneered methodological developments and won several awards at MICCAI/MIDL etc, will be part of the two BMBF funded projects "Multi-task Deep Learning for Large-scale Multimodal Biomedical Image Analysis (MDLMA)" or "CoCoAI - Cooperative and Communicating AI methods for medical image-guided diagnostics". There will be the chance to co-supervise PhD/Master students in ongoing externally funded research projects to gain first/senior author publications and to perform cutting-edge research that advances the state-of-the-art to contribute to improved medical diagnosis, treatment and healthcare.
We expect you to have a PhD or outstanding Master degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related and prior experience in medical imaging or computer vision or machine learning, as evident e.g. from at least one premier conference or journal publication. The salary for the PostDoc is expected to be around 56'900 € / year (TV-L E13 grade 3) and the PhD salary around 43'200€ / year (slightly less in year 1) before taxes and depending on experience, but please observe the full details of the PDF adverts
