The postdoc will be associated with Unit for Computational Radiology and Artificial Intelligence (CRAI), DRN, OUH. CRAI is a research hub for the introduction of advanced computational methods and artificial intelligence into radiology workflow at OUH. The unit was opened in 2019 in response to the increasing production demands at the DRN, and holds a varied portfolio of projects that uses artificial intelligence at its core. The unit holds a particularly attractive work environment at the scenic and quiet Gaustad campus.
In addition, the postdoc will work closely with collaborators at the University of Copenhagen and in the AI firm Cerebriu, also in Copenhagen, and it is expected that substantial time is spent there to facilitate transfer of technology and knowledge.

Work tasks
The position is granted by EU grants, and will focus on testing and improving an artificial intelligence-based real-time MRI scanning aid in the clinical environment as well as training deep learning algorithms for real-time quantitative diagnosis in a range of brain disease conditions, particularly focussing on dementia spectrum disorders. Rich datasets already exist for these purposes.
The project will be running in close collaboration with partners in Copenhagen, and the position will include substantial time spent at this institution. The project duration is three years.

Qualifications
• Minimum Masters degree in relevant area
• PhD is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Is comfortable with machine learning methods, particularly deep learning.
• Is proficient in Python programming.
• Has some knowledge of MRI physics.
• Has experience with operating MRI systems.
• Publication experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Personal skills
• Good collaboration skills.
• Takes responsibility and can work independently.
• Good English skills both orally and in writing.
• Is willing to spend substantial time abroad, at collaborator site in Copenhagen.
