Research position (Institute of Mathematics and Image Computing, University of Luebeck)
Tuesday 22nd December 2020
The Institute of Mathematics and Image Computing (MIC) at University of Lübeck has an opening for a research position E13-TV-L starting January 2021; see the official announcement: https://www.uni-luebeck.de/fileadmin/uzl_personal/stellenausschreibungen/1070_20_-_Ausschreibungstext_WissMA_MIC__Langtext_.pdf.
MIC focusses on mathematical methods for medical image processing. We develop mathematical models and numerical optimization methods for analyzing medical data, in particular variational/energy-based methods for registration, image restoration, and segmentation. The institute is closely associated with Fraunhofer MEVIS and thus offers excellent national and international opportunities for both, academic and industrial collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have an outstanding Master degree in mathematics, computer science, or engineering, have good programming skills (Matlab, C++, Python) and be enthusiastic not only about formulating and analyzing mathematical problems but also turning them into practical solutions. The candidate will have to assist in teaching in German and English; good German language skills are therefore a requirement.
Details on how to apply can be found in the official announcement or on our web page www.mic.uni-luebeck.de. If you need further information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking forward welcoming you in the MIC team,
