Software R&D Engineer – Image Processing (full-time, permanent)


Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. is looking for a software R&D engineer/scientist in the field of medical image processing and analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in image processing with an emphasis on segmentation, registration and/or feature detection. The candidate should also be experienced in C++. Experience in computational fluid dynamics, QT, OpenGL and/or the medical imaging software field in general is considered an asset.


• Research and develop advanced image processing, segmentation and analysis algorithms for medical images
• Research and develop advanced analysis algorithms in computational fluid dynamics
• Work closely with a team of engineers and developers to design and develop medical image post-processing software
• Work closely with regulatory and quality assurance engineers to ensure development of quality software
• Work closely with scientific advisors and physicians to develop algorithms for solving clinical problems

• Experienced in image segmentation, registration and/or feature detection
• Experienced in C++ development
• MSc or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or related field 


• Experience with machine learning and pattern analysis
• Experience with computation fluid dynamics
• Experience with QT, OpenGL, and OpenCv
• Experience with DICOM images (MR and CT)
• Experience with Mac OS development
• Experience in the medical imaging software industry


Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. develops and sells cardiac post-processing software that allows for the evaluation and analysis of MR and CT images. Available for clinical and research use, the stand-alone software provides full DICOM and PACS connectivity.
