Dr. Siamak Ardekani at the Center for Imaging Science at the Johns Hopkins University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop and apply novel medical image processing techniques (restoration, segmentation, registration, statistical shape modeling) to in-vivo and ex-vivo MR images in a multi-year NIH funded preclinical study of cardiovascular disease.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have an advanced degree (Ph.D.) in computer science, electrical or biomedical engineering, medical physics or related fields with research focus on biomedical image processing, medical image computing, and/or machine learning using magnetic resonance imaging. The candidate will be involved in developing algorithms to investigate heart failure using multi-modality cardiac MR images. Ideal candidate should have experience in high performing programming such as C++ and Python. Experience with developing image-processing tools using ITK/VTK environment is a plus.

This position is available immediately. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
