The main objective of this post is to develop novel deep learning algorithms with the aim to jointly model free-form text reports and associated cardiac CINE MRI sequences extracted from large scale databases. The project is part of a Programme Grant "SmartHeart" together with Imperial College London, Queen Mary University London and the University of Oxford. The post holder will be primarily responsible for developing novel deep artificial neural network architectures and building an automated system for medical image annotation and diagnosis that does not require any computationally-intensive image pre-processing and can work in real-time. The post will be based in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences at St Thomas’ Hospital.
