Internship in Interventional Ultrasound

I have a couple of internships available in my group at Philips Corporate Research in Boston. The topic will be ‘interventional ultrasound for vascular interventions’ (details below), & will be research oriented. You will create new technologies to disrupt Peripheral Vascular interventions using Philips internal cutting edge technologies in 3D vascular Ultrasound.

You are responsible for

  • Designing and implementing novel algorithms
  • Validating prototypes in a laboratory setting by collecting data
  • Analyzing data to refine algorithm

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BS, MS, or PhD student in Biomedical, Electrical, or Computer Science.
  • Applicants with proven research experience preferred (PhD candidates, MS thesis, etc.).
  • Experience with Ultrasound imaging, physics, image processing, & signal analysis
  • Experience with image processing algorithms, data analysis, and programming
  • Deep learning or machine learning experience will be a plus.
  • Ability to work independently on your research module. Limited mentorship will be available.
  • Experience with MATLAB, image processing toolbox, C++. C#, ITK, VTK, or OpenCV will be a plus.
  • Internship will last for 3-6 months. Candidates with longer availability preferred.
