The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Research Imaging Center is seeking an Assistant Professor to develop novel methods for infant brain analysis on normal control subjects (Baby Connectome Project) as well as with-risk subjects. Applicants should have a strong background on volume-based analysis of infant brain MRI and demonstrated capabilities in writing successful grant proposals.
The successful applicant is expected to have strong knowledge on computational tools development and strong experience in the following research areas:
•Cross-sectional and longitudinal skull stripping, tissue segmentation (cerebrum, cerebellum, and hippocampal subfields), parcellation/labeling, and atlas building;
•Early imaging-based biomarker identification and diagnosis on abnormal brain development, e.g., autism;
•Volume-based multimodal data (such as structural, diffusion, and functional MRI) integration and fusion for joint analysis of infant brains
Educational Requirements: PhD in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System
