Postdoctoral Research Associate in Quantitative Imaging (Washington University School of Medicine)

An immediate opening for a postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
The successful candidate will be a member of a highly interdisciplinary lab including biologists, engineers, and imaging scientists working on developing and implementing advanced quantitative imaging techniques in co-clinical imaging research. The successful candidate will be engaged in quantitative image processing and modeling (statistical, mathematical) of multi-modality biomedical image data (e.g. PET, MRI).
The ideal candidate should have a doctoral degree in medical physics, applied mathematics, computer science, biomedical engineering or related fields with no more than 5 years of previous postdoctoral research experience. Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following fields is required: pattern recognition, image segmentation, image co-registration, multivariate statistical modeling, optimization, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics or related fields.
The candidate should be proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., MATLAB, python, c++). Experience in medical imaging is preferred but not required. Evidence of research activity resulting in publications and presentations is highly desirable. The position is initially available for two years, but can be renewed based on performance.
