Postdoctoral position in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging (Yale University)

Tuesday 1st June 2021

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral associate to join our team at Payabvash Lab. The research focus is on application of deep-learning for automated assessment of brain CT and MRI scans in patients with stroke and brain injury. Our goal is to devise novel tools for diagnosis, outcome prediction, and risk-stratification of patients with cerebrovascular diseases, based on wealth of information extracted from medical images and clinical records.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Department of Neurology at Yale. We are working on a large cohort of multi-institutional multi-national datasets to address some of the most pressing needs in patients who are susceptible to brain injury. Postdocs are expected to develop and deploy deep neural networks for medical image analysis, utilizing the available datasets. The postdocs will also oversee and lead graduate students and RAs working in the lab.

Preferred qualifications include:
• PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or biomedical engineering
• Experience with application of CNN for image classification and segmentation – preferably medical images
• Advanced programming experience and analytical skills
• A record of publication and/or conference presentations

Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter describing previous programming experience, CV, and three references to: The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral associate to join our team at Payabvash Lab.
