The Sheikh Zayed Institute at Children’s National Hospital has openings for research positions in quantitative imaging and AI in healthcare. Located on the top floor of the pediatric specialty hospital, the lab is part of one of the most dynamic pediatric bioengineering research sites. We are based in the exciting capital city of Washington DC with endless options for scientific excellence, culture, and entertainment.
Positions are available at the level of postdoctoral fellow and staff scientist based on the applicant’s experience. The candidates will work in a team of computer scientists, biomedical engineers, geneticists, radiologists, and surgeons to conduct research and development on medical image analysis, predictive analytics and artificial intelligence. Positions are available in the following research areas:
• computational phenotyping and developmental modeling in medical imaging
• medical image enhancement and homogenization
• machine learning and federated learning in pediatric healthcare
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in the areas of computer vision, medical imaging and/or machine learning evidenced by peer reviewed publications. Other required qualifications are strong programming and good communication skills.
