Description We invite applications from strong candidates who have experience in computational algorithms for medical image analysis or computer vision, ideally with experience in deep learning, computational statistics, and/or surgical guidance. The successful applicant will be responsible in curating clinical data and developing machine learning approaches and software, such as medical image registration, imaging guidance and disease risk modelling, in surgical and interventional procedures for prostate cancer.

This project aims to apply modern machine learning methods to model the risk of prostate cancer on large multimodal imaging data sets and predict disease progression from serial MRI scans.

The successful candidate will join the UCL team, which is part of two world-leading research centres, the UCL Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC) and the Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS). The centres are supported by well-equipped computational and surgical laboratories and a team of multidisciplinary expertise.

The post is funded for 3 years in the first instance.
