Description: Medo.ai is a fast-growing start-up that augments ultrasound with artificial intelligence and machine learning to bring an expert-level on-the-spot diagnosis of ultrasound images to any clinician at point-of-care of a patient. This expertise can range from developing technologies for screening abnormalities in newborn babies at remote locations, monitoring old patients at home, aiding trauma patients in emergency rooms, diagnosing liver and kidney diseases in family doctor's offices.

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our rapidly growing team and conduct research in medical image analysis and machine learning. The successful candidates will get an opportunity to interact closely with radiologists, scientists, and developers from Medo.ai and the University of Alberta.

General Requirements: The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and must have a demonstrable track record in medical image analysis and computer vision, including publications in peer-reviewed journals. The position requires: 1. Advanced knowledge in computer graphics and post-processing of medical image data. 2. Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, and Keras. 3. Advanced programming knowledge in Python, C++, and Matlab. 4. Computer programming experience with image processing software packages such as ITK and OpenCV. 5. Self-motivated, independent, and organized worker.
