A post-doctoral fellow position is available at the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI, http://www.loni.usc.edu ) of the Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute of USC. Using large-scale brain imaging data from multiple studies, the postdoc fellow will focus on the development of personalized imaging markers for Alzheimer’s disease. The postdoc fellow will also receive training in brain shape analysis, connectome modeling, and machine learning based on brain imaging data. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in medical imaging, computer vision, image processing, or related fields. Prior research experience in brain imaging is encouraged and a definite plus. Interested candidates should send their CVs to Dr. Yonggang Shi (yshi@loni.usc.edu).

Through the Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute at USC, the post-doctoral fellow will have access to the ideal environment for brain imaging research. The LONI image data archive (IDA) is one of the largest brain image collections that hosts various imaging repositories such as the ADNI. The datacenter of LONI boasts >4000 cores and >40 terabytes of aggregate memory space for Big Data brain image analysis. The institute also houses a state-of-the-the-art image acquisition center with both 3T Siemens Prisma and 7T Siemens Terra MR scanners for human brain imaging.
