Description The research group Biomedical Computer Vision (BMCV) currently offers a PostDoc position in the field of Biomedical Image Analysis within the newly established AI Health Innovation Cluster (AIH). The aim is to develop a novel deep learning method for spatial alignment of high-resolution 3D microscopy images of the brain and to apply the method for 3D image - atlas registration. A focus is on image data with pathologies. The work is carried out as an interdisciplinary collaboration between the group of Karl Rohr at Heidelberg University and the group of Sevin Turcan at University Hospital Heidelberg.

Candidates should have a PhD in the field of Image Analysis (Computer Vision), and a Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in developing deep learning methods as well as good mathematical and programming skills are expected. The candidate should be highly motivated, team-oriented, and interested in biomedical applications as well as interdisciplinary research.
