Call for Submissions: MICCAI 2026 Doctoral Symposium

We are pleased to announce the MICCAI 2026 Doctoral Symposium, organized by the MICCAI Student Board. Building on the success of its inaugural edition at MICCAI 2025, the symposium will provide PhD students, recent graduates, and exceptional pre-doctoral researchers with a dedicated platform to present their doctoral research, receive feedback from the MICCAI community, and connect with researchers and professionals across academia and industry. 

The program includes:

Doctoral Research Poster Presentation: Accepted participants will present a poster on their doctoral research during MICCAI 2026 main conference.

PhD Thesis Madness Competition: Top-ranked submissions will be invited to take part in MICCAI PhD Thesis Madness, a live three-minute presentation competition. 

MICCAI Emerging Scholars Collection: Accepted main-track participants will be featured in a curated digital collection hosted by the MICCAI Student Board and MICCAI Society, highlighting emerging researchers and increase their visibility among potential collaborators.

Publication Opportunity: The 8-page reports of accepted main-track participants will be published in the MICCAI 2026 Doctoral Symposium Proceedings, indexed as part of the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
