Human Factors and Human-Computer Interaction In MICCAI
As AI and machine learning techniques mature, it is increasingly critical to ensure that these technologies are designed with end-users in mind. While idiosyncratic efforts to address some of the associated challenges have started to emerge at MICCAI, including the human-centered AI topic and various workshops and tutorials, there is a great opportunity to systematically advance this topic of immense importance to MICCAI. This SIG will promote dialogue and guidance around human-centered design principles, the challenges of human-in-the-loop experimentation, and the development of human-machine systems that are usable, trustworthy, and clinically effective.
Mission
Our goal is to establish a platform committed to openness, transparency, and knowledge-sharing within the MICCAI community. We aim to provide advice and resources to MICCAI Conference organizers, reviewers and authors, as well as engage the community in MICCAI events to raise awareness of human-centered design, human factors, and best practices in human-computer interaction.
