Description Postdoctoral Positions in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Stony Brook University
The Autonomous MR Imaging Systems (AMRIS) Research Laboratory at Stony Brook University is seeking postdoctoral candidates interested in advancing abdominal MRI technology, such as:

Successful candidates will join the AMRIS Research Lab which emphasizes methodology development and algorithmic innovation. Currently, our team includes 3 PhD students in Applied Mathematics and Statistics (computational mathematics) and Biomedical Engineering (MRI physics); 3 postdocs with extensive expertise in non-Cartesian MRI, reinforcement learning, and large language models; and 1 Instructor with expertise in diffusion MRI.
There are ample opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration across the university (Applied Math and Statistics, Institute for Advanced Computational Science, and Electrical and Computer Engineering) and the school of medicine (Radiology, Nephrology, and Pediatrics).
Required Qualifications
1. PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computational Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field or foreign equivalent degree
2. Peer-reviewed publications in MRM, JMRI, MedIA, IEEE TMI or closely related technical journals/conferences.
3. Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Unix-like operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Proficiency in machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, and transformers) and data analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, and CuPy) is a plus.
