Description This post is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher, or a completing PhD student, to join the 8-year Wellcome-funded COMP-ND project in the Centre for Medical Image Computing in the Department of Computer Science at UCL. COMP-ND develops a computational framework to identify mixed pathology in neurodegenerative disease from neuroimaging, biomarker, and neuropathology data. The post involves the development and application of machine learning tools, such as disease progression models, unsupervised learning, and transfer learning to detect mixed pathology in neurodegenerative diseases. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and available for 2 years in the first instance, with the possibility of extending further. Interviews will be held on the afternoon of Friday 12th January 2024 and be in person where possible.
