Description About Us: VASCage GmbH is a research center focused on stroke. With a strong team of internationally recognized experts, we develop new strategies and products in stroke prevention, therapy, and rehabilitation. For our Data Science Team, specializing in medical image processing, we are looking for a Data Scientist.
Your Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine advanced algorithms for image reconstruction, segmentation, and analysis for medical applications.
• Participate in international research projects.
• Develop software prototypes and tools that meet medical and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with academic and industrial partners to translate research findings into clinical and commercial solutions.
• Contribute to securing third-party funding.
Your Profile:
• PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong focus on Machine Learning.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, and using AI and ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, SciKit, FastAI.
• Experience in developing AI/ML algorithms in the field of (medical) image processing.
• Published research in internationally recognized journals.
• Experience with image processing toolkits/libraries such as MONAI, ITK, VTK, 3DSlicer, CUDA, DCMTK, OpenCV is desirable.
• Previous experience in developing medical software is a plus.
