Description • The Surgical Planning Laboratory (SPL) is a clinically oriented computer science laboratory at Houston Methodist Research Institute, with ongoing research projects in medical image analysis, mathematical modeling and simulation, surgical device design, as well as large-scale clinical software systems. At SPL, we utilize various types of medical images to perform segmentation, create 3D models, simulate surgical operation, and predict surgical outcome.
• Ideal applicants will have a PhD, prior work experience with Image Processing, Computer Vision, Computational Geometry, and Deep Learning
