Description 4-year PostDoc position in Medical Deep Learning group of Prof. Mattias Heinrich with research focussing on generative artificial intelligence in medicine, especially medical LLMs. Salary according to TV-L E13 (up to 71'218€/year depending on prior experience).
Your area of responsibility:
Cutting-edge research that improves the state of the art in medical diagnosis, treatment and health care
Publications at scientific conferences and journals, participation in the preparation of funding applications
Supervision of theses, seminars and courses
Your qualifications and skills:
a very good master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or similar, as well as a completed doctorate (until the beginning of 2026)
very good experience in machine learning and/or image analysis, proven e.g. by at least one publication in MICCAI, MIDL, CVPR, ICCV, ICLR, etc.
Excellent programming skills in PyTorch and experience training larger deep learning models on GPU clusters
Willingness to teach in the Medical Computer Science degree program. Knowledge of German at B1 level is required within six months for this
