Description A research laboratory within the Department of Radiation Physics at MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow or Data Scientist. Our team is dedicated to developing state-of-the-art artificial intelligence models to advance radiation therapy and creating translational tools designed to directly impact patient care.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will assume a key role in the design, development, and validation of novel deep learning models. Primary applications will include, but are not limited to:
Medical image autosegmentation
3D dose prediction
Automated treatment planning
Required Qualifications
A PhD in Medical Physics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience in deep learning and machine learning.
High proficiency in Python and extensive experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch is strongly preferred).
A strong record of academic publications or a robust portfolio demonstrating relevant project work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with medical imaging libraries such as SimpleITK or MONAI.
Familiarity with radiation oncology physics concepts and the DICOM-RT standard.
