Are you passionate about using Deep Learning to solve complex medical challenges?
The Department of Radiation Physics at MD Anderson Cancer Center is expanding! We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow / Data Scientist to help us build the next generation of AI tools for radiation oncology.
The Tech & The Task: You will be at the forefront of VMAT autoplanning and dose calculation research. We are looking for a developer who excels at large-scale medical image handling—transforming raw clinical data into sophisticated neural network inputs.
Key Qualifications:
Education: MS/PhD in a quantitative field (Medical Physics, CS, BME).
Deep Learning Mastery: Advanced expertise in PyTorch and building custom architectures for 3D medical volumes.
Image Handling & Preprocessing: * Extensive experience with SimpleITK and MONAI for spatial transformations, intensity normalization, and data augmentation.
Deep understanding of DICOM & DICOM-RT standards (handling headers, RT-structs, and dose grids).
Proven ability to build robust data pipelines for large-scale, multi-modal imaging datasets.
Academic Excellence: A strong record of publishing in high-impact journals or presenting at conferences like MICCAI, AAPM, or ASTRO.
