About the Speaker:
Emanuele (Manuel) Trucco is the NRP Chair of Computational Vision in Computing, School of Science and Engineering, at the University of Dundee, co-director (with Tom MacGillivray) of the VAMPIRE program, an international initiative developing image and data analysis software tools for ophthalmology and biomarker research, and NED / Scientific Advisor in Eye to the Future, a recent spinout of the universities of Edinburgh and Dundee. He has been active in computer vision since 1984, and in medical image analysis since 2002, having published more than 250 papers and 2 textbooks. Manuel has a 30-year experience of technical and public engagement presentations.
