Monday 20th May 2024

Each year, researchers and scientists are eligible to receive financial support to attend the annual MICCAI conference. This year’s award lineup includes the MICCAI Registration and Travel GrantsNIH Participation Awards, and the new African Travel Grants (see descriptions below or online).

Applications are being accepted now. Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

MICCAI Registration and Travel Grants

The MICCAI Society is pleased to provide financial support to members of the MICCAI Community who are from diverse and underserved backgrounds and want to attend the annual MICCAI conference. Diversity, in this case, encompasses a wide range of characteristics in the scientific community including, but not limited to, underrepresented gender and racial/ethnic groups, differing abilities, lower-income countries and countries where few papers are received at MICCAI conferences.

Eligibility
All members of the MICCAI community are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on the following priorities:

  • Authors of a paper accepted at the MICCAI conference
  • Candidates who are current students, young scientists, or early-career scientists
  • Candidates from underrepresented groups (see more details)
  • Candidates with diverse backgrounds

More information is available here.

NIH Participation Awards

The awards aim to enhance diversity in conference attendance and provide underrepresented groups in science with the opportunity to reach an international community for career development t and scientific collaborations.

The awards cover in-person MICCAI 2024 conference registration, including the main conference and both satellite event days, and one-year MICCAI Society membership. Awards will be given in the form of registration waiver codes.

Eligibility:
All US-based students and early career scientists (within four years of their terminal degree) are eligible. Priority will be given to authors from underrepresented populations per NIH definition in the Biomedical, Clinical, Behavioral and Social Sciences in Research.
