With a new year comes new opportunities! Remember these important dates to get involved with the MICCAI Society and MICCAI 2026.
January 5: Area Chair application deadline
We invite all experienced researchers who have been active in past MICCAI conferences and are familiar with the review process to be an Area Chair for MICCAI 2026. The quality of the conference depends largely on the paper selection process so we want to bring together the best possible team of AC's. (more)

January 9: CHALLENGE Proposals due for MICCAI 2026
MICCAI Challenges aim to provide a fair and robust environment for evaluating solutions to common problems in our field. We invite researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals to propose innovative challenges that address current problems in medical image analysis and computer-assisted interventions. Challenges will take place on October 4 and 8, 2026 at the main conference venue. (more)
January 9: TUTORIAL Proposals due for MICCAI 2026
Tutorials will take place on October 4 and 8, 2026 at the main conference venue, each organized as a half-day (AM or PM) fully in-person event. Tutorials are educational sessions offered by expert researchers and scientists on topics relevant to the MICCAI community to provide educational materials for all career levels. Tutorials should focus on a specific theme, e.g., methodology, clinical application, emerging technologies, or software tools, and organizers should explain why the theme is timely and of interest to the MICCAI community. January 15: WORKSHOP Proposals due for MICCAI 2026
We are soliciting proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with MICCAI 2026. Workshops will take place on October 4 and 8, 2026 at the main conference venue. Workshops are intended to convene focused research groups, facilitating engaging discussions and knowledge exchange on specific topics relevant to the MICCAI community. They should attract diverse participants and maintain good attendance. (more)
February 12: Call for PAPERS - Abstract deadline (intention to submit)
We welcome engineers, scientists, health practitioners, industry representatives, policymakers and researchers at all career levels from across the globe to take part in this new MICCAI edition. In addition to exploring the latest advancements in the field, MICCAI 2026 will highlight translational solutions to real-world clinical challenges. We look forward to your submissions and to seeing you in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Full paper submissions (including supplementary materials) are due on Feb. 26. (more)
