Announcing the RISE Travel Grants and MIRASOL Travel Grants
We’re pleased to announce two additional grants designed to support researchers and scientists who will be participating in MICCAI 2025 main conference and satellite events. In addition to the MICCAI Society Registration and Travel Grants, applications are also being accepted for the RISE Travel Grants and the MIRASOL Travel Grants. We expect to share updates on this year’s NIH Awards soon.
Grants are intended to support in-person participation in the MICCAI conference. If a selected grant recipient is not able to attend the conference in person, the grant will go to the next candidate on the ranked list. See details below regarding eligibility.
Eligible applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible. The adjudication and notification process will be carried out on a rolling basis, to allow time for the grant recipients to make travel arrangements and obtain visas to enter the host country if needed.
Review the eligibility requirements below and complete the application form to apply.
RISE Travel Grants
RISE-MICCAI has received a generous donation to support the RISE Travel Grants. A total of 5 grants for up to $2,500/award will be awarded to pay for conference registration fees, accommodations and travel costs as well as a one-year MICCAI Society membership.
To be eligible, applicants must be presenting a paper at MICCAI 2025 and from a low- to middle-income country (LMIC) or from an underrepresented country.
MIRASOL Travel Grants
The organizers of the MIRASOL Workshop is collaborating with the MICCAI Society to supplement conference registration costs, provide travel stipends and offer best paper awards. The MIRASOL Travel Grants are intended for exceptional LMICs researchers from under-represented regions and global researchers who may need support to participate in the MIRASOL Workshop at MICCAI 2025 and contribute their research.
To be eligible, applicants must submit a paper to the workshop by the workshop deadline and be either a current student, postdoctoral trainee, resident/fellow, or an early-career scientist.
MICCAI Registration and Travel Grants
The MICCAI Society is pleased to provide financial support to members of the MICCAI Community who are from diverse and underserved backgrounds and want to attend the annual MICCAI conference. Diversity, in this case, encompasses a wide range of characteristics in the scientific community including, but not limited to, underrepresented gender and racial/ethnic groups, differing abilities, lower-income countries and countries where few papers are received at MICCAI conferences.
All members of the MICCAI community are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on the following priorities:
- Authors of a paper accepted at the MICCAI conference
- Candidates who are current students, young scientist or early-career scientists
- Candidates from underrepresented groups
