About the panelists

Zhaolin Chen
Zhaolin Chen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Data Science and AI, Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Australia. His research interests include machine learning and deep learning-based medical imaging, methods development including acquisition and reconstruction for MRI and PET, and multimodal imaging and data analysis including simultaneous PET/MRI. Dr Chen is a recipient of the MICCAI Society Award for the Advancement of Health Equity. Dr Chen currently holds an Australian Research Council (ARC) Mid-Career Industry Fellowship and has led the establishment of the first Australian Point-of-Care MRI network. Dr. Chen has an internationally recognised track record of research excellence with strong real-world impact. He has served as an Area Chair for MICCAI 2025.

Qi Dou
Qi Dou is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Her research is in the interdisciplinary field of AI and robotics technologies for medical applications, including autonomous surgical robot, medical imaging, safe embodied AI, etc. Prof. Dou's research work has received a number of international and national awards, and prestigious best paper awards and nominations, including IEEE EMBS Early Career Achievement Award (2023), MICCAI Young Scientist Publication Award (2022), IEEE ICRA Best Paper Award in Medical Robotics (2021), MedIA-MICCAI Best Paper Award (2017). She serves as a General Co-Chair for MICCAI 2026, Program Co-Chair for MICCAI 2024 and 2022.

Lei Li
Lei Li is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) and PI of Digital Heart Lab (DHlab). Previously, she was a Lecturer at the School of Electronics & Computer Science, University of Southampton and Postdoc of University of Oxford. She received her PhD degree from the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021 and obtained the SJTU 2021 Outstanding Doctoral Graduate Development Scholarship. She is President of Women in MICCAI (WiM) and Board Member of SIG-Cardiac. She is also a Guest Associate Editor of IEEE TMI and Information Fusion, and Area Chair of MICCAI 2024, 2025, and 2026. She has been selected as the Rising Star of Women in Engineering by Asian Deans’ Forum 2023 and Featured Women in Science by RSIP Vision. She led organized Internation Workshop on Digital Twin for Healthcare (DT4H) in MICCAI 2025 and 2026. Her research interest is AI for healthcare, specifically focusing on cardiac digital twins, medical imaging, and multi-modal AI.
