The MICCAI Special Interest Group (SIG) for Challenges is searching for a new Board member!
The current gold standard for fair performance evaluation in the field of (bio)medical image analysis are international competitions (‘challenges’) enabling algorithmic benchmarking in a controlled environment while simulating real-world conditions. The mission of the SIG on Biomedical Image Analysis Challenges is to unite different societies and scientific communities to establish best practices and raise the level of quality in image analysis validation, with a special focus on biomedical image analysis challenges.

Who we are looking for:
A member of the MICCAI Society (hard requirement) with:
- experience in biomedical image analysis challenges, and
- a strong interest in benchmarking and validation methodologies.
Additional desirable qualifications include:
- experience in organizing biomedical image analysis challenges,
- experience in reviewing biomedical image analysis challenges,
- scientific contributions to benchmarking and validation research
- active involvement in the MICCAI challenge community.
