Accelerating development and deployment of the Full-Body Organ Analysis app with agentic AI on AWS

    8:00 am EDT / 2:00 pm CEST / 8:00 pm CST

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (IKIM) at University Hospital Essen is redefining clinical AI innovation. Their Smart Hospital Information Platform (SHIP) team built a whole-body organ analysis tool combining deep learning for automated organ segmentation with generative AI for interactive reporting on AWS in under 72 hours. In this talk, we will explore how AI-accelerated cloud-native development on AWS, translating AI research into clinical tools. We will explore the architectural design and decisions driving rapid prototyping and show-case results in a live demo. The output can be re-used by any healthcare institution looking to move fast when building their own solutions on AWS.

    Speakers:
Dr. Christoph Russ, Tech Business Development Manager for Healthcare, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Dr. René Hosch, Lead AI & Data Science, SHIP AI / IKIM, University Hospital Essen
Justin Woolley, Full-Stack Developer, SHIP AI / IKIM, University Hospital Essen
