Women in MICCAI at MICCAI 2025
WiM at MICCAI’25: Luncheon Recap

At this year’s MICCAI conference, WiM proudly continued its annual Luncheon tradition, welcoming more than 200 attendees. The event featured a dynamic panel discussion with six leading researchers and scientists, including Dr. Lena Maier-Hein, Dr. Anqi Qiu, Dr. Valentina Salvatelli, Dr. Wrining Zhao, Dr. Hyunjoo Lee, and Dr. Jhimli Mitra, who shared their insights on the opportunities and challenges women encounter in scientific careers, leadership, and AI-driven health research.
Together with the audience, the panel explored how to integrate emerging AI tools into core research while staying aligned with long-term goals, the importance of taking initiative, and the value of curiosity, flexibility, and lifelong learning in building a well-rounded professional and personal life.
If you attended the luncheon, we would love to hear your feedback through a short survey (approx. 3 minutes)
