Scope

The MICCAI Society has partnered with Elsevier, an international publisher of both journals and books, to develop a book series in medical image computing (MIC) and computer-assisted intervention (CAI), suitable for university and industry researchers, undergraduate and post graduate students, and practitioners.

The scope of the titles in this Book Series will cover:

 • new areas of research covering, methods, techniques, principles and applications

• generic core principles and their application, for the engineer, scientist and clinician

• tutorial introductions to various subjects, providing a bridge between engineers and clinicians

• scientific software, software engineering principles, and open source software infrastructure for medical imaging research or product development

The Book Series is advised by an Advisory Board chaired by Prof Alejandro F Frangi (a.frangi@leeds.ac.uk), University of Leeds, UK, and Tim Pitts (Tim.Pitts@elsevier.com) as Senior Editor who can both be contacted with any new book ideas.
