On behalf of the Board, I am happy to be sharing our latest issue of the MICCAI Society newsletter with you. We have lots of news to share about the many activities underway to strengthen the connection between our members and our community. As Treasurer, I can tell you that our Society is strong from every aspect, including the financial aspect, and it’s exciting to be welcoming new members each year.

Let me start by welcoming Jinah Park, Nicola Rieke and Pingkun Yan to the Board of Directors for four-year terms starting February 1^, 2023. As you’ll read in the newsletter article, they have all been very active members of MICCAI for many years and bring a wealth of knowledge to the Society. Congratulations and welcome to the Board! I am also happy to announce that Linwei Wang has been elected to Executive Secretary, having been a member of the board since 2020. I am looking forward to working with Linwei in her new role on the Executive Committee.

Preparations for MICCAI 2023 are well underway with keynote speakers confirmed, a record number of paper submissions received (over 2,300!), a wide range of workshops, tutorials and challenges to offer and a beautiful location ready to welcome conference attendees. We are looking forward to the events organized by the MICCAI Student Board, Women in MICCAI and RISE-MICCAI. And now that travel and in-person events are possible again, we are excited to be welcoming members and guests in-person from around the world.
