Natasha Leporé joins MICCAI Society Board of Directors


We are thrilled to announce that Natasha Leporé has joined the MICCAI Society Board of Directors. As General Chair of MICCAI 2028, she plays a key leadership role in both the Board and the conference’s Organizing Committee.

Natasha LaporeNatasha Leporé is a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she directs the Computational Imaging of Brain Organization Research Group (CIBORG). Her research focuses on developing mathematical and computational methods to study brain anatomy and function using MRI, with applications to neurological disorders and typical and atypical brain development across the lifespan in both high- and low-resource settings worldwide. She is also a co-founder of Voxel Healthcare, a company translating computational imaging research into software that automates clinical workflows and provides quantitative decision support for clinicians.

Prof. Leporé has been actively involved in the MICCAI community for many years as an author, reviewer, and organizer. She will serve as one of the General Chairs of MICCAI 2028 in São Paulo and previously was Local and Regional Chair for MICCAI 2020 and Sponsorship Chair for MICCAI 2024. She has also held leadership roles in other medical imaging conferences and societies, including ISBI and SIPAIM.
