MICCAI Society Members

Nominations from MICCAI Society members for one position on the MICCAI Society Board closed on August 11, 2025. Thank you to those members who submitted nominations!

We are pleased to announce that three candidates have received the required number of nominations and endorsements and are considered eligible to be on the ballot for the election. These candidates have agreed to stand for election and will be named on the election ballot. They are (in alphabetical order):

Sharon X. Huang, David Reese Professor, Department of Informatics and Intelligent Systems, Pennsylvania State University

Cristian A. Linte, Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Rochester Institute of Technology

Maria Zuluaga, Associate Professor, Data Sciences Department EURECOM Sophia Antipolis; Senior Lecturer, School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, King’s College London

This year, candidates will be introducing themselves to the membership at the MICCAI 2025 conference and presenting their qualifications for serving on the MICCAI Society Board. Candidate presentations are scheduled to take place on Thursday September 25 at 13:30 KST. Advance polls will open immediately following these presentations. Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in this important process!

The official election will open October 6, 2025, and will be conducted on the MICCAI Society membership system (called WildApricot). Introductory videos, current CVs & cover pages will be available for viewing. Note that only members in good standing will be eligible to access the member portal to vote. The poll will automatically close on October 27, 2025. The candidate who receives the largest number of votes will be considered elected in the member-elected position on the MICCAI Society Board.
