Women in MICCAI at MICCAI 2025

The Women in MICCAI initiative is thrilled to bring an inspiring lineup of events to MICCAI 2025 in Daejeon, Korea! This year’s program is designed to celebrate, support, and empower women in the field while fostering meaningful connections across the community.

WiM Luncheon (Wednesday, Sept 24, 2025) – A warm and welcoming networking event open to all attendees. Connect, exchange experiences, and engage in conversations that matter to female scientists and allies alike.

WiM x MICCAI Student Board Mentorship Event (Wednesday, Sept 24, 2025) – In collaboration with the MICCAI Student Board, this interactive session brings students and early-career researchers together with experienced WiM mentors. Dedicated mentorship tables will provide space for open discussions on challenges, career guidance, and building lasting professional relationships.

WiM Awards at the Closing Ceremony (Friday, Sept 26, 2025) – Join us as we recognize excellence with the WiM Best Oral Presentation Award and the WiM Best Paper for AI Democratization Award. These honors celebrate outstanding achievements by women researchers, from excellence in public speaking to advancing accessible and equitable AI.

WiM Webinar Spotlight – July 2025

To support early-career researchers in the MICCAI community, WiM hosted a July webinar on “From Paper to Story: Crafting Effective Research Presentations - Best Practices from Oral Presentation Winner and Experienced Researchers.” The session was very popular, attracting 145 registrations from across the community.

The webinar featured experienced researchers and past WiM Best Oral Presentation Awardees, who shared valuable insights on designing effective slides, engaging audiences, and confidently delivering both talks and posters. Thank you to our speakers and attendees for making this event such a success!
