Welcome to our latest update! The MICCAI Board has been working hard planning an exciting lineup of events for the MICCAI 2024 Conference. Dive in to discover the events we've organized and get all the details you need.

EMERGE Workshop - Sunday 6th October (starting at 8am)

The MICCAI Student Board is excited to host its inaugural EMERGE workshop, a half-day event on October 6th. We invite you to join us for insightful presentations from our accepted authors and join in the dialogue on the groundbreaking research.  All our accepted pre-prints and reviews for the EMERGE workshop are now public and can be accessed here. These papers will be published in Springer’s CCIS format, and the most outstanding contributions will be invited to expand their work for potential publication in MELBA. Academia & Industry Panel and Networking Event- Mon 7th October (starting at 6pm)

We’re excited to host our annual Academic and Industry (A&I) event, designed to support the career growth of our members through engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities. Our flagship event will involve a panel discussion on career development and the differences between academic and corporate career opportunities. Additionally, the A&I event includes a networking session where participants can connect with prominent figures from both academia and industry. Drinks and refreshments will be provided during the event! Stay tuned for the upcoming announcement of our distinguished panellists and networking partners.

MSB Lunch & PhD Thesis Madness - Tuesday 8th October (starting at 12:30pm)

Join us for PhD Thesis Madness, a lunchtime event which allows final-year PhD students and recently finished doctorates to showcase their groundbreaking work with a 3-minute presentation! This event provides a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and spark new ideas. Don’t miss out—join us to hear innovative presentations and expand your professional network! Morning Runs - Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th October (starting at 7am)

 Join us for a morning runs before the conference, commencing outside of the conference centre. It's a great opportunity to connect with fellow MICCAI attendees, invigorate your spirit, and set the pace for the day! All fitness levels welcome!

Photography Contest

Take part in our annual photography challenge, where the winner is decided by public vote! To join the competition, tag @MICCAIStudents with your photos or videos that best captures the spirit of MICCAI 2024! The winner will be unveiled at the MICCAI 2024 closing ceremony and will receive exciting surprise goodies!

The MICCAI Student Board is also hosting several exciting events that require advance registration: Exploring Marrakech! Full Day Guided City & Gardens Tour, Marrakech Cultural Food Tasting Tour with Three-Course Dinner and the MICCAI Soccer Match!
