Introducing the SIG for Computational Pathology

The MICCAI Society supports Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to bring together the community of topic-specific researchers and clinicians for in-depth discussion and the exchange of ideas.

The Board of Directors recently approved a proposal to establish the SIG for Computational Pathology (SIG-CompPath). The new SIG will focus on the development and application of novel imaging techniques and methods for clinical, pre-clinical, and non-clinical biomedical imaging.

Led by Spyridon (Spyros) Bakas, members will bring together key stakeholders working in the field of computational pathology to make contributions that drive this field towards its full potential, ultimately making the transition from research to clinical practice. Stakeholders include computational and clinical researchers, opinion leaders, and equipment manufacturers.
